Riverside Beat Priority Update

Good afternoon all,

I hope you’ve managed to enjoy the warm weather safely, long may it continue and we get a summer like every other country. 

As we move into the summer months, new priorities have been set for the local beat team to focus on. Doing this ensures we are always focusing on key issues in between our day-to-day role. Below is the first of three priorities, which you will receive shortly.

Please continue to report any issues, concerns or suspicious behaviour through the Leicestershire Police website, via 101, or Neighbourhood Link.

Priority 1: To tackle anti-social behaviour at Castle Gardens and surrounding area.

You said: 

Although the park is a nice place to visit, there is still anti-social behaviour happening there in sight of visitors.

What we are going to do:  

We will increase our visibility at the location to act as a deterrent, as well as utilising other techniques to identify and bring offenders to justice. We will work alongside agencies to ensure all safety measures available are utilised and implemented appropriately. We will hold engagement events at the park to speak to the visitors face to face to better understand their views and concerns, acting on any information or intelligence when necessary.
